On todays date just after 1300 hours the Company was alerted for an auto fire on I-95 south bound just before exit 93. 613 with a crew of 5 called enroute within a minute. Dispatch advised they were receiving numerous calls reporting an auto well off. Upon entering the highway nothing was visible in the area of the exit. 613 continued north and could see smoke passed the Chesapeake House. The incident was located just north of the Chesapeake House and was a VW Bug well involved. The crew pulled the bumper line off the engine and made short work of the fire. This made the first run for the new engine since being placed in service on 10/21/09.
