Today PVFD was alerted as part of the 401 box for a house fire on North East Rd. E613 responded with 4 volunteers as Assistant 4 (Chaney) arrived with a heavy fire on the first floor. As e613 arrived the crew was assigned RIT on the alpha side of the structure. As conditions inside the vacant structure deteriorated crews were ordered into a defensive attack. Once fire broke through the roof ladder pipe operations were placed in service by Truck 8. Crews operated on scene for approx 2.5 hours before being released.
